Sameer Gehlaut the founder of Indiabulls Group, where he led the company from its inception to a market capitalization of $12 billion.

During his 20-year tenure from 2000-2020 as Executive Chairman, he secured $2 billion in equity investments and delivered a 26% compounded annual growth return to shareholders. Under his leadership, Indiabulls Housing Finance became India’s third-largest housing finance company, providing over $35 billion in total lending to more than 500,000 customers and paying $1.8 billion in dividends to shareholders. He also made a strategic investment in Oaknorth Bank, UK, which resulted in a $500 million profit.

In real estate, Sameer Gehlaut spearheaded the development of over 20 million square feet of office and residential space in Mumbai and Delhi, including the sale of iconic office buildings, One Indiabulls Center and Indiabulls Finance Center, to Blackstone for $2 billion. He also developed Indiabulls BLU Estate & Club in Worli, one of the highest-selling residential complexes in India.

In the UK, Sameer founded Clivedale Group, delivering over £1.5 billion in gross development value through high-profile projects in Central London, such as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences at 22 Hanover Square and Mayfair Park Residences by the Dorchester Collection. As the majority owner of GB Bank, UK since mid 2024, Sameer provided the direction and guidance for the bank to scale up its balance sheet to £1.7 billion in less than a year, supporting economic growth through secured lending to small and medium-scale businesses.

Sameer Gehlaut holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
